TheKSBWChannel.com – Politics – O’Neill Says Iraq Invasion Planned Before 9-11: “Former Bush Official Says President Disengaged
In a new book and upcoming TV interview, former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill says President George W. Bush and top aides started planning for an Iraq invasion within days of taking office.
In the interview — airing Sunday night on CBS’s ’60 Minutes’ — O’Neill says they were convinced from the start Saddam Hussein ‘was a bad person’ who ‘needed to go.’ But O’Neill says he was troubled by the policy of pre-emption.
In response, White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan says the ex-treasury chief is ‘trying to justify his own opinions.’ And McClellan says Saddam was a threat before 9-11 — and after.
O’Neill was fired a year ago after questioning Bush’s tax cuts. In excerpts from an upcoming book, he charges the president was so detached during meetings that he was like ‘a blind man in a roomful of deaf people.’
O’Neill says during his two years in the administration, the White House decision-making process was so flawed that top officials often had no real idea of what the president wanted them to do.
The former head of industry giant, Alcoa, was forced out of the administration after criticizing planned tax cuts.”

I do have some questions for you if it’s allright. Is it only me or does it seem like some of the responses come across as if they are coming from brain dead individuals? 😛 And, if you are posting at other sites, I’d like to
follow everything new you have to post. Would you list of the complete
urls of all your social sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
